Questions
How is this different from the tailgate talk?
The tailgate talk is a quick five-minute daily huddle; the monthly safety topic sheet is a longer, scheduled meeting with discussion and a documented example. Many crews run both.
What topics should we cover?
Rotate the hazards that actually show up in tree work — chainsaw kickback, electrical and line-clearance hazards, aerial rescue, heat illness, struck-by, rigging. One per month keeps it fresh over a year.
